Your Daily Schedule

Each day of this Hatha yoga retreat Formentera follows a nourishing rhythm that honours both effort and rest. Days 2–4 begin with fruits and teas at 7:00am, followed by Pranayama (7:00–9:00am) and a 2-hour asana practice with relaxation (9:00–11:00am). Afternoons are entirely free to swim, explore, or rest. The evening session (6:00–7:30pm) offers a softer Hatha yoga practice, Yoga Nidra or sound healing, and meditation, followed by a vegetarian dinner at 8:30pm. Day 1 begins with arrival and a welcome yoga session; Day 5 ends with a morning practice, a farewell lunch buffet, and checkout at 12:00pm.

The Programme: Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, and Yoga Nidra

The retreat programme uses simple breathing techniques (Pranayama), asana practice, kriyas, deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra), and guided meditation to help participants release tensions and impurities from body and mind, and cultivate inner strength and clarity. The approach is accessible for all levels — both complete beginners and advanced practitioners are welcome, with variations offered throughout each practice.

Two teachers lead each session together, with one guiding the practice and one offering hands-on adjustments, ensuring a high quality of attention and support throughout.

About the Instructors

Yiannis Andritsos (Yiannis Mukta Om) moved from a small Greek island to New York in 2002, where he found his way to guru Sri Dharma Mittra. Under daily guidance from Dharma for over 10 years, Yiannis received the transmission of yoga teachings and was charged with sharing them across the world. He has been teaching the Dharma Mittra method internationally for over a decade.

Amitai Cohen is an experienced teacher of yoga, meditation, and martial arts, also trained under Sri Dharma Mittra. He taught regular classes at the Dharma Yoga Center in New York City and assisted Dharma with teacher trainings and retreats across the US and abroad. His teaching is deeply rooted in the study of mind, body, and spirit, and is guided by a spirit of gratitude.
